Introduction

The Ramakrishna Mission, a widely acclaimed spiritual organization of international repute, having its headquarters at Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal, India, was founded by Swami Vivekananda in May 1897. This was started as an instrument for the dissemination of the exalted spiritual teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna. It goes without saying that those teachings of Sri Ramakrishna are founded on the rich cultural heritage of India. The Mission’s goal is to translate its sublime ideals into practical reality for the elevation of humanity irrespective of caste, creed, religion and nationality.Vivekananda came for the good of the world and taught the world how to look upon people as the manifestation of the Divine.

As per the request of the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Ramakrishna Mission agreed to establish a new Secondary School on a hilltop at Lumdung. The construction work was started in the year of 2018 and the project of constructing school building was almostcompleted in January, 2023. The long awaited Secondary School Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapeeth, Lumdung, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated in its new campus on 11th March, 2023 by SrimatSwami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice Presidentof Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.in presence of Shri Pema Khandu, Honourable Chief Minister, Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Kiren Rijiju, Honourable Minister, Law and Justice, Government of India,Sri Taba Tedir, Hon. Education Minister, Arunachal Pradesh and Shri Mama Natung, Honourable Minister, YA & S, WRD, Forest and Environment, Arunachal Pradesh with a hope of fulfilling Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of Education which basically teaches to serve Mankind only to serve God in a living form.
